| Conservation
Board
A 9-member board, each member appointed to a 2-year term.
See
Calendar of Events for meeting times and locations.
Contact the Planning Office at (914) 666-4434. The
Conservation Board was created to advise in the development, management and protection
of natural resources, to keep an inventory and map defining the Town's open space,
and to be involved in projects which have an effect on the environment.
Last year the Conservation Board submitted a report to the Town of Bedford on Lyme Disease. The Conservation Board saw the necessity to produce this report so that Bedford's boards and commissions have an accurate and full understanding of Lyme Disease and its impact on the Town, as they consider present and future projects. The Conservation Board felt it appropriate to add this to the web site for your review. Please click here to read the report.
