NO PARKING RULES IN EFFECT NOV 15 - APRIL 1
There shall be NO parking from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on any county or Town highway in the Town of Bedford from November 15 to April 1. (Town Code Chapter 117)

Annual Permit Parking
Bedford operates eight business and commuter parking lots in Bedford Hills and Katonah. Residents, commuters and businesses using the parking lots may purchase an annual permit, valid July 1 to June 30 of the following year. New residents should contact the Parking Bureau for information about permit availability.

Multi-Space Parking Meters
The Town of Bedford utilizes multi-space parking pay stations for metered parking in select parking lots. These meters allow customers to park in a numbered space (remember the space number) proceed to the parking pay station, pay the parking fee and without returning to their vehicle proceed to their destination. ( Note: If the pay station does not have sufficient change, a refund slip will be issued. Mail the slip with your name and address to the Town of Bedford Parking).

Train Station Metered Parking Lots
The cost for parking is $5 for 16 hours and $7 for 24 hours. The pay station takes only cash up to a $10 bill; change is made in one-dollar coins. All “Metered Parking” spaces are on a first-come; first-served basis and there are no guaranteed spaces. Parking in any train station commuter lot is free on holidays and weekends.

Bedford Hills Station - Railroad Avenue offers a total of 25 metered spaces in Lot 8 (west side of the tracks) and 10 “Metered Parking” spaces in Lot 7 (lower lot on Railroad Avenue). The Parking Pay Station is under the stairwell leading to the platform on the west side of the station. Note that there is no metered handicap parking in Bedford Hills.

Katonah Station
Lot 3 - 50 Woods Bridge Road (off Route 35) offers 60 metered spaces. The spaces are located in the first row adjacent to Woodsbridge Road and to the right hand side as you enter the lot. Ten (10) of the spaces allow for long term parking up to five weekdays (long term parking is located at the North end of Lot 3). The Parking Pay Station is at the Southern most corner of the lot. Note that there is no metered handicap parking offered in Lot 3.

Lot 1 - 2 Jay Street offers handicap and unrestricted metered spaces. Two handicap spaces are available 24 hours a day with a 16 hour, 24 hour or long term (5 days) options. The 20 unrestricted “Metered Parking” spaces are available only after 10:00am and limited to a 16hour stay. The two handicap spaces are located near the entrance to the platform and the 20 unrestricted spaces are located at the north end of the lot. The Parking Pay Station is located under the stairwell to the right.

Lot 2 – 190 Katonah Avenue, located two blocks south of station, offers parking at no charge after 12:00 Noon. You must park only in the designated “Permit Parking Only” areas.

Bedford Village Playhouse Shopper Metered Parking
Lot 10 - located on Court Road behind the Bedford Village Playhouse offers 36 metered parking spaces. The pay station is located on the rear wall of the Playhouse building. The rate is 50 cents per hour Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm. No parking is allowed in the lot from 1am – 6am. Parking is free on Sundays and Federal holidays.

Daily Parking Permits
Due to the increased use of the metered spaces by residents of surrounding communities for commuting purposes, it has been approved by the Town Board to resume sale of daily parking permits to Town of Bedford residents, effective Monday March 10, 2008. The sale of daily permits is an effort to assist residents who occasionally travel to NYC for leisure activities and appointments. Many residents feel the ability to acquire a daily permit ahead of time for the date of their activity or appointment is an important quality of life issue as a Town of Bedford resident.

The Parking desk currently sells daily permits to all persons for medical appointments and jury duty.

The following rules and restrictions will be implemented:
Daily permit sales without proof of a medical appointment or jury duty notice would be limited to Town of Bedford residents only. A daily permit would allow a resident to park in the permit parking areas of designated commuter lots.

1. Daily permit sales will be limited to a quantity of 5 permits for each date for Lot 1 (Jay Street), Lot 2 ( Katonah Ave) and Lot 8 ( Railroad Avenue). Daily permit sales would be limited to a quantity of 10 for Lot 3 ( Woods Bridge Road).

2. Advance sales of daily parking permits will not exceed 3 months prior to the valid date of the permit. Advance sales will be limited to one daily permit purchase per week. A resident will not have the one permit per week restriction for permits being purchased for same day use. Lost permits will not be replaced.

3. Cost of a daily permit is $5. Permits will be available for sale at the Parking Desk in the Finance Office (located on the 2 nd Floor, 425 Cherry Street, Bedford Hills, NY 10507) and via USPS mail. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm. Online daily permits sales will not be available. Payment can only be made via cash or check (made payable to the Town of Bedford). Credit cards are not accepted. Parking desk phone number is 666-8097.

4.Town of Bedford residents will be required to show proof of residency (current utility bill) and car registration each time they wish to buy a daily permit. Tax bill and driver’s license are not acceptable proofs of residency. The car license plate and the date of use will be printed on the permit.
